Message-ID: <1991Jun04.005038.22596@lynx.CS.ORST.EDU> Date: 4 Jun 91 00:50:38 GMT Sender: @lynx.CS.ORST.EDU Distribution: orst Organization: Oregon State University, Computer Science Dept Lines: 14 Nntp-Posting-Host: prism.cs.orst.edu I connect to OSU at at 2400/ARQ with my HST and everything works fine, that is until I try to download something. Invariably, the modem will be going along just fine, the sd and rd lights going off and on in a regular rythm, then all of a sudden, I see a two flashes of the rd light in quicker succesion than usually and then everything quits. I start getting time- outs with Jr-Comm and I'm still connected, but can't regain control so I just go +++ and call back and use the resume transfer feature. I been ignoring this for a long time since I don't have any trouble anywhere else and I usually use cross dos for larger files. I use "sz " to begin the transfer. Anybody got any ideas. I thought maybe the modems are trying to step up the transfer rate and somethings not getting across right, but thats probably not right! -MIC
