In my experience, this is how to make it work: Create the suitcases with Font DA mover on the MAC, and move ONLY the ROMAN fonts - that is, do not move the BOLD, BOLD-ITALIC or ITALIC versions of the fonts. Do not attempt to move fonts that have been "harmonized" with utilities such as "Font Harmony" (for non-mac people this utility is used to pack the bold, italic and bold-italic versions of the screen fonts into a variant form which will appear only once in the Mac font menu. Without this, Helvetica shows up as BHelvetica IHelvetica BIHelvetica and Helvetica in the font menu.) If you heed this advice, then the rest of the process should proceed normally.
