It has helped me a great bit. Secondly (for all those who finger must *ache* when they have to skip over a message that they really don't want to read) sorry about the ambiguous subject line. However, since I thought the posting WAS very general, "Amax II" seemed as straightforward as they come. I now know that i should have spelled the subject out a little clearer. Once again, sorry. Lastly, I would have taken this to .emulations HAD I THOUGHT IT NECESSARY. Obviously, since the Amax consists of hardware, I thought that this was a good starting place. I HAD intended to take it to .emulations next, but I have no desire to deal with that networks self-proclaimed "moniter." Perhaps if he would have showed me the courtesy of a mail message explaining what bothered him -- rather than a posting -- I would have continued utilizing the network function. However, if this is any indication of how information is passed, sorry, they just lost a customer. Once again, thanks to all those that replied. I will certainly utilize the information passed in reaching my final decision. Thanks again. Tony Bruno ud118950@ndsuvm1 "And then my brain started to bleed..."
