Commodore plans to release a CD-ROM drive that attaches to the expansion port of the A500. Known as the A690, it's been shown at a past CES and carries a retail price of $699. And, yes, it plays all CDTV titles. CBM is also supposedly working on interfaces for the 2000 and 3000, so the drive can be run on other Amigas. According to the June '91 issue of AmigaWorld, it should be shipping "not long after you read this."
