It came with ProDos v. 1.? and DOS 3.3, a pretty good assembler for DOS 3.3, PFS Write for Prodos. I managed to scrounge up a recent version of Z.LINK which lets me connect. I'd like to be able to up/download files on my Apple //c, but the trouble is that Z.LINK comes on a disk with ProDos 8.? on it, which means that none of the other programs I have can use the downloaded files, or produce files that I can upload. In general, I'm very confused about the profusion of OS's for the //c. Can anyone tell me where I can acquire a ProDos 8 system disk, system tools disk? Can I download it and use it immediately, given my present system? Do I have to go to a dealer? And is there any way I can use the old PFS Write with the new ProDOS? Another question: can I find an emacs-style simple text editor that will work with ProDos 8 so I can compose files on the //c and upload them with Z.LINK? Thanks.
