However, the engine to render the fonts is not public and I don't know if it would be possible to reverse engineer it without a lot of time and effort (but it was done with Postscript fonts). Since Apple has the source, wrote the source, and has the best knowlede of it, they would know whther or not it would be practical to implement on the GS, and I'm sure that the GS/OS team could get access to it to make that assumption. There really isn't any anti-Apple II gestapo police.
