The program ATARIO for the IBM-PC will allow the PC to read/write Atari DOUBLE DENSITY floppies. Caveats: * Only works with "low density" (i.e. "360K") IBM drives. * Only reads/writes DOUBLE DENSITY (i.e. "US Doubler" or other "true double density") Atari disks * Has some quirks/bugs which have not (to my knowledge) been quantified. Perks: * Source code is available: application is in C, Atari-format driver is in assembler * Works on PC and at least the Tandy 1000SL "clone"; probably on anything. Not sure where you can GET this program, other than rousing me (very difficult most of the time) to UUencode and ship MY copies of all this. Chris Chiesa Chris_F_Chiesa@cup.portal.com
