Message-ID: <78628@eerie.acsu.Buffalo.EDU> Date: 2 Jun 91 18:41:36 GMT Sender: news@acsu.Buffalo.EDU Followup-To: misc.forsale.computers Organization: SUNY Buffalo Lines: 32 Nntp-Posting-Host: lictor.acsu.buffalo.edu Does anyone have a MicroVAX II sitting around collecting dust? I am looking for one with a simple configuration of at least the following: MVII CPU + CPU box, >= 3meg memory, and some sort of disk, at least ~40meg. I have access to a tape drive, so I won't need one of those. I will be setting up this system in my basement, so I doubt I'll need Ethernet (unless someone knows how I could share an RA81 on a PDP-11/84 running RSX-11M/PLUS via Ethernet). I could probably use a multiplexer, but I am going to be the only person to use the system (for a while anyway). I just finished the semester and am starting my summer job Monday, so I won't be able to buy it for a couple weeks. However, I _will_ be buying a MicroVAX II before the summer is over. If I don't get any offers from net.land, I will find one somewhere else. Lastly, in case you hadn't already noticed, I am a student. With this in mind, I would hope to spend $800-$900 at the most for this system. I do have a couple items I would consider bartering if necessary: An RA81+UDA50, LA210 with three font cartridges, LA120, Unibus RX02 controllers, a third party DR11-W with documentation, and maybe an amber VT220. Thanks a lot, Chris Kalisiak V076N3W7@ubvms.cc.buffalo.edu kalisiak@acsu.buffalo.edu
