I, too, was concerned about the keyboards before I upgraded, and I even went
so far as to call up HP about it.  They assured me that there was still plenty
of tactile feedback, so I went ahead.  And I am as happy as ever with the
replacement.  I can detect no mushyness whatsoever, on any keys.  My only
complaint is that now the beep isn't as loud as it used to be.  Oh well.
