"Same" has a somewhat squirrely definition, since things like 7.0, 7.03, 7.05, and 7.08 are all the same release. Basically, the Diskless protocol has a version number built into it; when the protocol changes, the release number is changed. You cannot run a server at 8.0 and clients at 7.05. SCSI will be supported on the 835 with 8.0 with the card you mention. Disk partitions are still, alas, hardwired. Since the Series 300 does not support disk partitioning at all, you cannot simply move the disk from 800 to 300 and have things remain accessible. -- This is not an official statement of The Hewlett-Packard Company.
