There seems to be a serious compatibility problem with VUE,
Softbench and cluster configuration on HP-UX 7.03.

I use the server for a rather small cluster as my workstation,
and cluster clients can log on to the server without any problems
(the server is a gateway to a larger net so this is vital) until
I run softbench, when the server becomes unreachable from the
clients, which eventually fall over and die.

Any pearls of wisdom on this problem would be greatly appreciated
as the wheels of HP officialdom grind extremely slowly and 
inefficiently in the UK.

It annoys me that a veiled reference toa Softbench/VUE problem
is mentioned in the installation manual, but not enough details,
as if HP are trying to sweep it under the carpet.
