It claims to be a replacement (eg. uses no slots) for any 286 processor and will give 386SX/16 power and speed. Is this true? Would this thing work on a Compaq 286e/12 and/or a Leading Edge Model D2? If so, what type of experience (good/bad) and compatibility problems (hardware/software) have you had. How much did you pay for this thing? Where did you purchase this replacement processor? Is $359.95 a reasonable amount to pay for this thing? Thanks for any information.
