I downloaded The News 1.4 and just recently started working with it.  I
remember reading that the latest version is 2.02??  Is this available
from an ftp site??  If so which one and where on the ftp server is it
located??

I would also like to know of there is another mac-based news reader
that does NOT require NNTP??  The current version has a FEW security
holes that we don't want our general users to have access to.  Until
the spec is completed for the new NNTP and it's coded and released, I
would like to find alternatives to NNTP news readers.
