You will need to add a color card and monitor to your system. Check out the Micro XCEED cards, which can work either with a 13" 640x480x8bit monitor, or with a 1024x768x8bit setup (19"?). If you want to go for the gusto, get a RasterOps 264/30 24-bit card and a 13" Trinitron monitor of some make. My Seiko makes a great partner for the RasterOps. The Micron card is roughly $325 via mail-order; the RasterOps is closer to $600+. You can get a Seiko CM1445 for ~$600, an Apple for closer to $700, and a Sony for about the same. The cheaper units (NEC MacSync, Magnavox) cost less ($400-$500), but I don't think they measure up in daily use. > Also, when I opened up my mac the other day, there was a connector that >had nothing attached to it on the side of the board.. About 50 to 70 holes? That is the PDS (Processor Direct Slot) that a monitor or other expansion card will plug into. I don't recall how many holes it has in it :-) -- | Paul E.
