I found out last night (the hard way, of course) that the SE doesn't. I'd like to avoid that kind of fun in the future. 2) After reformatting my drive, I restarted the mac, booting from a floppy. It would access the hard drive, then give me a sick mac symbol and under that show: 0000000F 0000000C without ever accessing the floppy. I had to remove power from the hard drive to get it to boot (from the floppy), then reinstalled the driver on the hard disk. After that, things went much better. So my curiosity is peaked - what does the above code mean and why did it stop the boot process without ever accessing the floppy drive? -- William R.
