Instead, the original keyboard translation code (INIT 1 and INIT 2) was used to translate the keycodes into character codes. The Control Panel gives only two choices for keyboard mapping: domestic and international. Did this change in System 7.0 for the MacPlus? Are keyboard events mapped into character codes according to a KCHR resource?
