I wrote a bunch of signal processing stuff in Mathematica. Mathematica assumes that the input is a list of numbers. What I would like to do is 1. Convert a standard mac sound file (data or snd, but I assume data would be easier) to a list of numbers. 2. Convert a list of numbers to a sound file. I am no res-edit jockey, but I understand most of what is involved. From what I gather one main problem is that the sound file uses all 256 characters, making it unopenable as a file by any text editor. If there is some way of dealing with this I would really appreciate the help. Even a reference (more specific than Inside Mac) would help Thanks Please e-mail me the info Emmett Witchel@neon.stanford.edu (or above address)
