Subject: Another icon problem with sys 7

In the control panels folder, I often get all my icons in black &
white (I have an Apple portrait monitor).  Choosing the Monitors 
control panel and resetting to color and then grey-scale turns 
them back into the nifty 3-D effect that we all love so much.

Any ideas what's going on?
