I can login to the server once but I cann't login the second time. server parameters are as follows : machine : 286 based TeleVideo NetWare : ELS Level II ( dedicated configuration ) LAN : LAN A - for network board LAN B - IBM Async COM1/COM2 In ARCONFIG : Modem Type - Hayes compatible Baud Rate - 1200 Auto Connect - no ID string - none workstation parameters are as follows : machine : 386 based Dell 310, DOS 3.3 In ARCONFIG : Modem Type - Hayes compatible Baud Rate - 1200 ID string - none When server is booted up, modem goes to Auto Answer mode and everything comes up normally. I boot up the workstation and run IPX. The connection gets established and IPX gets loaded. Then I run NET3.COM and login to the server. After I logout I switch off the workstation. Now when I boot up my workstation again, I can load IPX ( which also makes connection ) but when I run NET3.COM I get the following message : A Fileserver could not be found. I have tried different versions of NET3.COM. Also tried specifying PS ( preferred server ) in the command line. Configured workstation as well as server for the special configuration of modem ( other than Hayes ). None of these make any difference. Tried getting help from Novell too. I would appreciate sending any info on this problem to me via E-mail. Thanks. Rajeev Danank Dept. of Electrical Engineering Utah State University, Logan, Utah 84322 E-mail : sl2ls@cc.usu.edu
