To measure the real impact of an unbuffered file access, I would like to know how the file cache works for a Sequent Symmetry under DYNIX 3.0.17 (12 proc). Is the replacement strategy LRU, LFU? Global, per user or per processor? FYI: I am using the uSystem library of UofWaterloo for file handling. Any information is greatly appreciated.
