After some frustrations I've reached the following situation -- if I run getty on the port I can login, but if I run uugetty I can't. So at present the port is login only. Anyone know what I am missing? When I run uugetty the modem flashes and seems to be doing something, but never connects. I have it configured the same for both trials (login only) and all I do is replace /etc/getty by /usr/lib/uucp/uugetty (with all the necessary kills and telinit Q's). Then I can no longer login until I reverse the process. -- William Silvert, Habitat Ecology Division, Bedford Inst. of Oceanography P. O. Box 1006, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, CANADA B2Y 4A2. Tel.
