I'm trying to format a 3.5 inch floppy in the internal drive in a
SS1 or IPC, and I keep getting

fdformat: FDKIOSCHAR failed, Invalid argument

I get this with all of

fdformat
fdformat /dev/rfd0c
fdformat /dev/rfd0a

any ideas as to what could be wrong? the fd0 devices exist, and
the eject command works.

SunOS 4.0.3, SS1 and IPC
