I've got 3 Exabyte drives (8200s) that work great on my lowly Sun 3s but don't work worth a hoot when I attach them to my new SLCs. I'm running SunOS 4.1.1B, the SCSI I.D. for the Exabyte is I.D. 5 (st1) and I've got bus termination set O.K. The disk drives I've tried backing up are both Fujitsu (2263SA and 2266S/H) and I'll get some variable number of feet into the tape when I'll either get a "write error" or a "data overrun" error. I've even tried backing down from synchronous SCSI to async SCSI to no avail. Has anyone seen this problem before and/or know a work around?
