We have an SS-562M (Sony SMO-C501-00) optical drive attached to a sun4/330
running SunOS 4.1.1, using Delta Micro's driver.  The problem is
intermittent and causes the SCSI bus to hang, requiring a reboot.  It
happens the second time a platter is unmounted; the umount command
never comes back.  The platter can be ejected, however.  Delta Micro
claimed it had something to do with "asynchronous SCSI" and sent a
patch tape.  This did not solve the problem.  Have you heard of anyone
else with this stupidity?
