I have heard that power cycling the cd-player seems to fix it, but since ours is built in the only fix seems to be rebooting the machine. Since this is a file server this does not go over well with most people. So if anybody has any solutions as to how to either prevent the cd-player from disappering, or how to get it back when it does I would be eager to hear from you.
