I'm familiar with printcap but I've never attached anything to a serial port on a workstation. I've been looking through some manuals, trying to figure out what I have to do to make it work but, so far, I haven't succeeded. I have created a printcap entry for the printer with lp=ttya (the printer is attached to serial port A). I'm not sure what else I have to do to make it work. I know that there shouldn't be a getty running o that port and, there isn't. I also know there are some parameters in the eeprom but, I'm not sure what needs to be changed, if anything? Is there anyone out there who has hooked printers up to a SPARCstaion? If so, I'd apprecaite some help.
