I've just uploaded a new version of a4.sty with a revison date of
30 November 1990 to
ymir.claremont.edu:[anonymous.tex.inputs.latex-contrib]a4.*
a4.sty is the production file, a4.tex and a4.doc provide the
documentation (using the doc style option from
[anonymous.tex.inputs.latex-mainz])
The files were obtained from listserv@hearn on 30-May-1991.

This style option is the preferred method for setting page
dimensions for use with A4 paper.
