Subject: Strange owner/group of UUCP .Status files

It may have been going on for some time, but I just noticed that some of
the files in /usr/spool/uucp/.Status are owned by non-existent user
12368 who belongs to non-existent group 12376!  No other files have this
owner; the number does not appear in /etc/passwd.

It doesn't seem to affect UUCP's operation, but I'm curious as to what
might cause this.
