Hello,

I'm brand new at this, so please pardon my ignorance.

I am trying to set up a BIND/Hesios server on a VAX 3600 running Ultrix 4.1, so
I ran bindsetup and configured it as the primary server. Then ran svcsetup and
rebooted the machine. Fine and dandy.

Then I went to one of our DECStation 3100's, also running Ultrix 4.1, and
configured it as a BIND client. Well... the nslookup command, for example,
works. If I type:

# nslookup
> ls hamavnet.com

it lists all the machines on that domain.

However, if I type for example telnet nodename and that nodename is not on the
local database, it says "unknown host". The svcsetup was ran here also, and I
told it to look up hosts (and passwd, etc) as local,bind.

Any ideas?
