Both the X server from Sun (OpenWindows 2.0) and the MIT X server we have 
running on our Suns say they support the extension "MIT-SHM" (i.e. the
command xdpyinfo reports it as one of the extensions).  After digging 
through what documentation I could find the most I was able to ascertain is 
that it has to do with sharing pixmaps.  Does anyone know more about this 
extension and/or if there is a document that one can get that describes it?
