I have a dog. I did the training for Joy last summer and we've been together ever since. There are several advantages to going to the training centres. I think probably the most important item is that the dog is still in a familiar surrounding even with his/her new buddy. It took Joy a bit of time to adjust to her surroundings here but she's one of the best things that has ever happened to me in my life. Some people prefer a cane. Personally, the dog is like a living extension of my arm. There are pros and cons but for me the pros outweigh the cons. The dog provides as much companionship in her off hours as she does safe mobility in her on hours. I'll talk to you later and fill you in some more on some of my experiences. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!163!207.666!Jeff.Dubois Internet: Jeff.Dubois@p666.f207.n163.z1.fidonet.org
