	Here's a simplified approach to the problem
	(assuming you set up a partial feed of the group) -

	1). in your mail "aliases" file, have 2 addresses:

		funky-music:	"|mail-inject rec.music.funky"
		funky-real:	[ all the mailing list addresses ]

	    where "mail-inject" is your favorite mail-to-news
	    injection program.

	2). in your news "sys" file, include the following:

		funky:rec.music.funky/all::mail funky-real


	Now whatever comes into the newsgroup, whether
	via rnews or mail injection, will no longer have
	duplicates since the news system acts as a filter
	to ensure unique Message-ID's. Also, newsgroup
	readers will have full participation in the list.
