At the time I wrote the article, there had been only one post pointing out problems with his approach. That post was in news.admin rather than news.software.b, and so I didn't see it. I have now started following both groups, and there seems to be a decent debate on the subject. And yes, it does seem that Henry and Geoff are trying to find ways around the problem. What gets me is that they're the only people who seem to recognise that it's a good idea to try to solve it.
