my favorite bakery/cookie things in the entire world are elephant ears
(i have seen them called "palmiers" too). they are flakey curly cookies
with just a hint of sweet glaze over them.

does anyone have any idea how to make these?  i could satisfy my
cravings (for life) if i could just make them myself.  it's been tough
to find a bakery here who has elephant ears on a consistent
basis...yes, i am somewhat addicted.
