hmm, anyone have a discography for syd straw?  i've got _suprise_ and
the golden palimino album with her all over it (sharing vocals with michael
stipe, jack bruce, johnny 'rotten' lydon, etc.) -- and i gather she
shows up on at least one dBs album.  <it's weird the way you can trace
collaborations from almost any north carolina/athens group to any
new york/jersey post feelies group to fairport convention etc. -- can't
wait 'til *i* know all these people!> <'course, a KaTe/prince teamup
would be even odder...>

for those who are curious, i highly recommend both ms. straw's _suprise_
(featuring richard thompson, peter holsapple, tony levin, bernie worrell,
van dyke parks, anton fier, chris stamey, daniel lanois and roger eno, etc.
see what i mean about connections!?> and the golden palimino's album whose
name i just blanked on (though they're all good)...

whew, at least i worked in a KaTe reference...

BTW, KaTe *does* *not* appear in the highly recommended movie "thelma
and louise", but don't take my word for it:  go see for yourself...
