Camm Maguire recently announced the availability of the Shakir translation
of the Quran available by anonymous ftp from princeton.edu.

On reading the online translation, I noticed errors where a blank
was replaced by a period and once where a period was inserted
spuriously (changing the word "naught" to "n.aught"). This problem
is due to the scanner and the character recognition software.

Anyway, I ran the command:

% egrep '([a-z]|[A-Z])\.([a-z]|[A-Z])' *

and removed the correct entries to arrive at the following list
of errors:

078.TheGreatEvent: 18. The day on which the trumpet shall be blown so you.shall 
096.TheClot: 18. We too would.summon the braves of the army.
100.TheAssaulters: 10. And what is in the breasts is made.apparent?
