Can someone please point me to a public domain program to backup a
hard drive to floppies? Criteria being that it should be better than
DOS' backup command and would preferably have file compression and
format on the fly. 

I tried to use archie to find such a program but couldn't sort the DOS
programs from the others. Is there a way to search archie specifying
only DOS programs?
