Since I am just starting out, I'd like to understand the Discrete Wavelet Transform, and the Quadrature Mirror Filter implementation (which is rumored to be O(n) complexity?!) Unfortunately, my background is EE, and I would prefer a good nuts and bolts paper, since my math background is not extremely strong. I would really appreciate any help I can get.
