In recent ads for fax modems, I have seen references to "EIA Class I" and
"CCITT Class I" compatable fax modems.  I have some questions about "Class I:"

1) What is it?

2) Is it EIA, CCITT, both, or something else?

3) What is the specification number (i.e. CCITT V.29, EIA RS-232D)?
