These are functionaly nearly identical ( the new drivers work with the old ones, not vice versa ) but are higher integrated, with fewer chips, smd tech, and they are software configurable through a eeprom. Jumpers are needed only for thick/thin and for a emergency address ( to soft-configure if one lost the address in the eeprom ) Reinhard Kirchner Univ.
