Does anyone know of any MS-DOS software (commercial or otherwise) that allows one to design a letter font graphically and output it in Type 1 format? Another useful feature would be to read a Type 1 font and preview it, or diagnose problems in the encoding which would prevent it being accepted by ATM or other software that uses Type 1 fonts. A while ago I posted something about Hebrew fonts in Type 1 that are available commercially, but I still don't like the look of most of them, and I'd be interested in trying to design my own if I can get the proper tools together. Needless to say, any constructive suggestions will be appreciated. dhf@linus.mitre.org
