One workaround until your administrator reconfigures elm is to put this into
your $HOME/.elm/elmheaders file:

From: mmiskowi@nmsu.edu (Michael Miskowicz)

At least that trick works with elm 2.2 and 2.3 and provides a full name in
the header of every outgoing letter.
