The older HSTs have a problem with the power supply overheating and opening a thermal fuse (not worth repairing) and we've had a couple others which had to be sent back for repair (one under warranty). Both of our Courier 2400e s have failed this past year. ($80 to repair, close to the price of a new 2400 baud). ANYWAY, we are thinking about purchasing their 'Dual-Standard' model and want your experiences on this. Is it backward compatible? (We found we had to change some code to make an HST work as a 2400 replacement). Is it compatible with other makes of 9600 baud modems? What is its reliability? Are there other makes/models you recommend? Thanks, email and if enough replies come in I'll post a summary. I posted here because our server doesn't get comp.periphs.modem if it exists... ren dona nobis pacem
