Keywords: domain lookup Message-ID: <55606@rphroy.UUCP> Date: 10 Jun 91 12:39:29 GMT Sender: news@rphroy.UUCP Reply-To: rrichter@link.ph.gmr.com (Roy Richter) Organization: GM Research, Warren, Mi Lines: 12 Nntp-Posting-Host: link.ph.gmr.com Following up on the .cs domain confusion (Czech, Computer Science), I find myself in a similar situation. My department domain is physics (ph) and is uner gmr.com. Occasionally, people from other departments send to user@host.ph and find that the mail goes to uunet, who is holding an evil Wildcard MX record for *.ph and sits there for 30 days, until it is returned to sender. Now, I don't think I can change the world, so I educate my local users. Only, it would help if I knew what the .ph domain was...anybody know? Is it PHony? -- Roy Richter Internet: rrichter@ph.gmr.com Physics Dept, GM Research UUCP: {umich, cfctech}!rphroy!rrichter
