In Norway (UNINETT), access to IXI, a X.25-based network, is now free
of charge for any student/employee by using telnet 129.241.1.8
IXI is a network binding together JANET & most other european university
networks, hitherto being incompatible in many ways
(Try to log in on a JANET site from outside UK - it's *very* difficult
 if at all possible)

So to the point: Does anyone know the PSS *number* to pdsoft.lancs.ac.uk?
Or do you know other PSS/IXI/JANET sites offering anonymous ftp or
guest login?  How about Acorn's SID?
