I would like to practice my transcription skills by plunking notes on a staff and then playing them back to see if I got the time values exactly right. I have the package at home, but I have two problems: 1) I don't have a MIDI instrument 2) I seem to be having a difficult time with the user interface. The user-interface is better than most I've seen, but strange things happen to the time values of the notes I try to put down. I can't give any specific examples since it's been a while since I tried it. Maybe I just need to read the documentation again. Anyway, Blue Ribbon Soundworks tells me that there is an add-on called "Internal sounds" that would make it do what I want. Has anyone used this? Does it become one of the many existing utilities, or is it a separate program that multitasks? Will it play the notes as I am plunking them on the staff? -- Jim Logan Home: logan%gimlet@uunet.uu.net Consultant Work: logan@netx.com Net Express, Inc. Phone: (703) 749-2269
