	I've figured out what was going on. Protracker intercepts all mouse and
keyboard messages before they reach intuition.  I just happened to be running
qmouse which automatically blanks the screen after 10 minutes of no intuition  
messages.  I thought ProTracker had crashed, but really it was qmouse doing its
job.  The only message ProTracker doesn't intercept is the diskchange message.
Hence sticking in a disk unblanks the screen.
