My system is a vanilla stock 2000HD with the 40MB Rodime HD and the 2090A controller. The current plan is to buy a board populated with 4MB. There are several in the market which would seem to do OK, but I am looking for clues on which boards/configurations provide the best value and reliability, and of course, those which should be avoided like the plague. One mitigating factor is that somewhere down the line I may add a bridge- board if a 386 version comes along at a price I can afford. Upgrading to the ECS and WB 2.0 are also possibilities I must allow for. Any helpful hints, suggestions, warnings will be welcomed. Regards, Jerry Whitman - keeper of the FishXref and FishCon.
