Help needed! Message-ID: <1991Jun8.101627.7584@hellgate.utah.edu> Date: 8 Jun 91 16:16:25 GMT Article-I.D.: hellgate.1991Jun8.101627.7584 Organization: University of Utah CS Dept Lines: 24 Hello, everybody! While I am exploring my IBM PC/AT clone, I decide to revise its BIOS (just for fun). My machine has an AMI BIOS dated 1989. Does anyone here know where to find any reference of writing a BIOS for an AT or 386 machine? What's the major difference between a 286 BIOS, 386SX BIOS and 386DX BIOS? Are they essentially the same? I would appreciate if anyone could give me some idea where to find a good reference book for writing a BIOS. Thanks a lot for your time in advance. ***************************************************************************** * Ho capito, signor,si!........ * * * *Cheng Yang Home Address: * *Department of Computer Science 808 East, 300 South, #3 * *University of Utah Salt Lake City, UT 84102 * *E-Mail Address:cyang@peruvian.utah.edu Tel: 801-322-1918 * *****************************************************************************
