Well, I don't have a recommendation, but there was a review of the 
GoldStar in the May 15/90 issue of PC Magazine, along with many 
other SVGA monitors.  Basically, they said it was decent.
One drawback about the 1460 (and I may be wrong about this), is that 
it is a multiple fixed frequency display, as opposed to one which 
syncs continuously within a range.  Some SVGA cards may vary 
slightly in the way they achieve their 800x600 displays, so if
possible, try out these types of monitors with your video adapter(s) 
to ensure that they sync properly (sync problems are characterized 
by screens being off-center, portions of the display going off the 
edge of the screen, etc.).  You may want to check out an upcoming 
(July ?? issue) of PC Mag, when they will do another roundup of 
monitors.
